Tuesday saw the running of two Women's Finals, the 1500m and the 10 000m.

The Women's 1500m resulted in a bewildering and surprising win for Lisa Dobriskey of England, who shocked all her more established and experienced rivals to take Gold with a devastating sprint finish.

Kenyan's Lucy Wangui and Evelyne Wambui took Gold and Silver in the Women’s 10,000m. see below

1500m Women 21/03 Winner Lisa Dobriskey England Time 4:06.21
In a race that kept the stadium cheering from the start, England’s Lisa Dobriskey came home to claim gold in the Women's 1500m.
Sarah Jamieson managed Australia's first ever medal in the event, nabbing silver behind Dobriskey's time of 4.06.21. Jamieson was boxed in behind the leader but managed to break free in the last stretch to claim silver in 4:06.64 seconds. She came fifth at Manchester in the same event.

10 000m Women 21/03 Winner Lucy Wangui Kenya Time 31:29.66
Kenya's Lucy Wangui outsprinted compatriot Evelyne Wambui to take the Women's 10000m title in a time of 31:29.66. The event was a tense affair with the Kenyans dominating affairs from Wambui finished second in 31:30.86. Australia's hope Benita Johnson was in contention until with 1200m to run [3 laps], the Kenyans pulled away. Johnson faded badly and was overhauled by England's Mara Yamauchi who took bronze in 31:49.40.
