Farah wins Gold in Daegu
On the final day of competition at the IAAF World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, there was a double medal swoop for the Aviva GB & NI team in a memorable night of action.
And in what can only be described as a superb few minutes for the Aviva GB & NI team this evening, Mo Farah (Alberto Salazar) won the World Championship 5000m final, and Phillips Idowu (Aston Moore) flew out to a triple jump silver medal winning distance. [Read more...]
Jackson sets PB in Daegu
On day seven of the IAAF World Championships in Daegu, South Korea, there were a number of Aviva GB & NI team members in action as the final weekend of competition beckoned.

UK Team for Daegu
UKA today announced defending World champions Jessica Ennis (coach: Toni Minichiello) and Phillips Idowu (Aston Moore) in a 67-strong squad as part of the Aviva Great Britain & Northern Ireland team for the 2011 IAAF World Championships in Daegu, South Korea on 27 August – 4 September.
Strongly tipped medal hopes Mo Farah (Alberto Salazar) and Dai Greene (Malcolm Arnold) will also board the plane to Asia along with 2009 Berlin silver and bronze medallists Lisa Dobriskey 1500m (Ricky Soos) and Jenny Meadows 800m (Trevor Painter). [Read more...]
